While this training is open to everyone, we recommend that participants have some understanding of yoga or any movement practice. This training is about learning, growing, and exploring.

However, a solid foundation of strength, body awareness, and a serious interest in anatomy will help you get the most out of the experience.

Key Notes:

You do NOT need a yoga teacher training certification to attend.

This training is open to both teachers and non-teachers.

What You’ll Learn

Training Overview

Preliminary: Terminology (3 hours of recorded video)

Objective: Familiarize yourself with essential yoga and anatomical terms.

Topics Covered

Anatomical terms (flexion, extension, abduction, adduction, rotation, etc.).

Basic biomechanics and movement terminology.

Day 1: Friday Afternoon – Anatomical Basics (17:00 - 20:00)

Anatomical Foundations

Bones, tendons, ligaments, muscles, and tissues– their roles in movement.

How these structures interactin yoga asanas.

The Science Behind Stretching

Neuro-flossing, passive vs. active stretching, and PNF techniques.

Practical applications in yoga.

Understanding Pain

Differentiating between safe discomfort and injury signals.

Nervous system’s role in pain perception.

Engagement in Movement

When to engage vs. relax muscles in poses.

Stability vs. mobility in Downward Dog, Warrior II, and more.

Day 2: Saturday – Upper Body & Spine (9:00 - 19:00)

Morning

Practical Session – Feeling Concepts

Shoulder, elbow, wrist, and spine anatomy.

Common issues : Impingement, tendinitis, herniated discs and modifications.

Afternoon

Asana Practice & Adjustments

Alignment focus: Downward Dog, Chaturanga, Shoulder Stand, Plank.

Hands-on adjustmentsfor safe teaching.

Final Session

Handstand Excursion

Shoulder/wrist stability, core engagement, and progressions.

Day 3: Sunday – Lower Body & Spine (8:00 - 18:00)

Morning

Practical Session – Feeling Concepts

Hip, knee, ankle, and foot anatomy.

Common issues (tight hips, knee misalignment, plantar fasciitis) and solutions.

Afternoon

Asana Practice & Adjustments

Alignment focus:Warrior series, Pigeon Pose, Tree Pose.

Teaching cues & hands-on adjustments.

Final Session

Balance & Proprioception

Stability drills in Tree Pose, Eagle Pose, Half Moon.

Proprioceptive training for better body awareness.

Follow-Up: Q&A Call

(Two Weeks Later)

1-hour group call to clarify questions and refine teaching skills.

Nils von Münster-Kistner

Physiotherapist, Yoga Teacher & Anatomy

With a BSc. in Physical Therapy and an MSc. in Sports Physical Therapy, Nils brings a science-based approach to his teaching. He specializes in visceral osteopathy, sports biomechanics, and injury prevention, helping students and athletes move smarter and recover stronger.

His practice also includes weightlifting, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and cycling, creating a well-rounded, functional approach to movement.

Nils is passionate about coffee, ice baths, and handstands, and his teaching focuses on empowering students to build strength, confidence, and mindfulness. His diverse background and commitment to holistic health make him a valuable guide for anyone looking to deepen their practice and enhance their well-being.

What if I only want to deepen my practice and not teach?

That’s totally welcome! Many students join YTT to gain a deeper understanding of yoga beyond the mat—no intention to teach required.

Who is this training for?

This training is for anyone with a passion for yoga—whether you're looking to deepen your personal practice, learn more about yoga philosophy and anatomy, or become a certified yoga teacher. You don’t need to be advanced or super flexible—just open, curious, and committed.

How many students are in each training?

We keep our groups small (typically 10–20 participants) to ensure personalized guidance and a supportive learning environment. This allows us to provide plenty of personal attention during the practice sessions and have group discussions where everyone has the opportunity to feel heard & seen.

What’s the investment? Are payment plans available?

Yes, we offer flexible payment plans. Please check our pricing page for current tuition, early bird discounts, and payment options.

What is not included?

Once you pay the training and the lodging, not included is; Flights, Individual coaching and private yoga sessions (can be booked additionally on request), Extra excursions, Medical/ travel insurance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full payment is required 60 days in advance of the TT.

If we have to cancel or reschedule due to any Covid related lockdowns out of our control, you will have the option for a full retreat refund (deposit included) or to transfer your booking to the new date.

If for any unforeseen reason you are no longer able to participate to the retreat the following policy is in place:

Cancellation - 50% refund on the full amount of the retreat (service & admin charge of 150 Euros applies extra).

Cancellation 1 month before retreat - No refund (unless you find someone to take your place).

Upon receiving the deposit you are automatically agreeing to the booking and cancellation terms of the retreat.

Is this training Yoga Alliance certified?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll receive a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certificate that meets Yoga Alliance standards.

What should I bring to the in-person training?

You’ll receive a full packing list upon registration, but essentials include:

Notebook/journal
